Commando Sambo: Fundamental Techniques

The first, Sports Sambo, developed under the Dynamo (formerly Soviet Ministry of Internal Affairs) as a training discipline to apprehend criminals. The second, Commando Sambo, originated from the Cheska (formerly Soviet Military Sports Organization) with the intent to simulate combat scenarios. Commando Sambo integrates elements from various ethnic martial arts within the former Soviet Union, based on the foundation of Jujutsu imported from Japan. Notably, Commando Sambo remained classified as a military secret until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, when its existence was first revealed.
