There exists a book known as "The Silver Book." It is a B5 edition, spanning 380 pages, with a silver cover. Published on March 10, 1978 (Showa 53), it was created under the supervision and guidance of Gozo Shioda by Kyoichi Inoue and Yoiji Kusuda to establish various teaching methods for practices like those of the Metropolitan Police Department. It is a significant foundation for the subsequent spread and development of Aikido, encompassing fundamental techniques of Aikido. Based on this "Silver Book," Kyoichi Inoue, who contributed to the formulation of basic techniques, has produced a DVD explaining the martial art's origins to inheritors, weaving in stories from that time. It is structured to enable a comprehensive understanding of the principles and techniques of Aikido, aiming to pass down the essence of Aikido to future generations.

Kyoichi Inoue Born on September 10, 1935, in Hokkaido. He joined the Yoshinkan Aikido Dojo in 1955 and underwent rigorous training under the guidance of Director Gozo Shioda. In 1970, at the behest of Director Shioda, he began teaching Aikido as a martial arts instructor for the Metropolitan Police Department. He established the Aikido examination regulations and solidified the instructional system. In 1996, he retired from the Metropolitan Police Department and became the head instructor at the Yoshinkan Aikido Headquarters Dojo. In 2002, he became the 2nd Director of the Yoshinkan Aikido Dojo. In 2010, he assumed the position of Director of the Aikido Shinwa-kan.
